How to support us

OUR PROGRAM

Blue Flag Panama

Blue Flag Panama is an educational and environmental program designed to strengthen the connection between students and the ocean while promoting a culture of conservation, research, and sustainable action.

Inspired by international initiatives such as Europe’s Blue Schools and aligned with the 2030 Agenda and SDG 14: Life Below Water, the program combines environmental education with hands-on experiences, empowering students to identify real challenges—such as plastic pollution and improper waste management—and develop sustainable solutions within their communities.

More than raising awareness, Blue Flag Panama seeks to inspire a new generation that understands its responsibility to protect our oceans and becomes an active force for change.

Tools

Everyday Essentials for Ocean Care

STEP 1

Reusable Gloves

A sturdy pair of gloves makes it easy to safely pick up debris, glass, and sharp materials during any cleanup, on the beach or in the water.

STEP 2

Reusable Collection Bag or Bucket

Skip single-use plastic bags. A durable, reusable bag or bucket keeps collected trash contained and ready to be properly disposed of or recycled.

STEP 3

Reef-Safe Sunscreen

Protect your skin without harming marine life. Reef-safe sunscreen avoids chemicals that damage coral and ocean ecosystems, so you can spend time outdoors responsibly.
